Fredrick Prescott has been an artist for 45 years and is widely recognized as an important kinetic sculpture artist of our time. He has been instrumental in the development of assemblage art or constructions of various pieces in sculpture. His work is seen as a blend of folk art, pop art, and technically advanced construction. Prescott’s monumental sculptures are vibrantly colored and gigantic, always life-size and sometimes larger. Welded contoured lines enhance the natural curves of the animal’s bodies while giving each form a marvelously graphic impact. Ingeniously designed with sculptural methods that have been perfected over time, each animal is an individual. Through variations on size, body contours, colors and patina, no two are alike.
