(Newtown, CT) -- Fine Homebuilding remains committed to helping close the skills gap, and is continuing to create engaging opportunities to interact with and bring together today’s veteran and emerging professionals in a dynamic and fun setting to inspire industry-wide success—all while raising money to #KeepCraftAlive and directly fund scholarships that support the cause.
The company’s comprehensive #KeepCraftAlive movement is a cornerstone program that is gaining momentum as an agent of industry change, inspiring success and creating community. To continue this initiative, Fine Homebuilding has partnered with CertainTeed, Pella Corporation, and Diamondback Toolbelts to host an event after PCBC in San Francisco on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.
“Celebrating those who make their living in the building trades has always been a core value of Fine Homebuilding, and we are continuing that effort through our #KeepCraftAlive initiatives and events,” says editorial director Rob Yagid. “Bringing together emerging and master tradespeople is something that we love to do, and we’ve had an incredible response thus far.”
DETAILS OF THE EVENT & WHAT TO EXPECT:
WHAT: After PCBC on June 27, 2018, come meet and mingle with the Fine Homebuilding editors and ambassadors at the ThirstyBear Organic Brewery for an evening of networking, fundraising, and giveaways from some of the best brands in building. Enjoy some organic craft beer or sangria and Spanish tapas; receive swag bags; and qualify for giveaways—all while helping to support the next generation of craftsmen and women. All net profits from event ticket sales will be donated to the Fine Homebuilding and SkillsUSA #KeepCraftAlive Scholarship Fund in order to help close the skills gap.
Fine Homebuilding will also match dollar for dollar any direct donations to help support the cause.
