Hello! My name is Juliana Duque. I'm a graphic designer and illustrator from Bogotá, Colombia. As a designer, I've been working for over 10 years with branding and corporate identity, mostly with clients in the service sector, so I don't get much chance to enjoy the visual musings that come with illustration.
On my spare time, I like to make little doodles for my 5-year-old daughter (and let's be honest, for myself as well!) and this is how "kawanimals" was born. Inspired by Japanese kawaii illustration, kawanimals are cute and quirky creatures that live in a colorful world. With charming simplicity and quirky smiles, they are sure to capture your heart!
Each kawanimal world comes with an extensive style guide that includes: character design with different versions, complementary graphics and fonts, a unique color story and an extensive display of product mockups that range from stationary to clothing all the way to children's decor. My background in Brand Identity Guidelines give a professional edge to my style guides.
For the first time, the kawanimals are coming to SURTEX 2018, come and meet them at booth 2667. May 20-22 in New York, NY.
