SURTEX® 2018

Fun and Modern Home Decor Designs Debuting at SURTEX by Victoria Mlady

Victoria Mlady is a textile and product designer living in sunny Albuquerque, New Mexico. She believes color is as good for you as veggies are! Her design work is sometimes modern, sometimes throwback, often quirky, but always colorful and engaging. She has blended her background of science and psychology with a passion for interior spaces and design. Victoria carries a sense of optimism into her work with a mission of brightening up living and working spaces to benefit those who inhabit them. She states, "our direct environments influence our wellbeing powerfully. It is in our best interests to pay attention to what we surround ourselves with, and color goes a long way toward helping us function at a higher level. The psychological impact of spaces is fascinating to me; I would like to assist people in becoming more aware of their spaces and demonstrate how to set them up to promote better self care and productivity."

Much of her work is purposefully designed for interior decor applications. With proper scaling it translates well across many other product categories. She is preparing to launch her own line of high end interior design products under her company called Victoria Bright for residential and commercial use. "I will be producting wallcovering, flooring, high end textiles and accessories for the trade. Branding is complete, prototypes are in production and many positive relationships in the industry have been formed. It's all I eat sleep and breathe these days and I love bringing it to fruition! With lots of renovation experience she has developed a unique sense of what it takes to make a space cater to its inhabitants in a cheerful, eco friendly manner. Most of her products will promote the use of ecosmart substrates.

Victoria also produces a line of highly colorful wall art designed for corporate, hospitality and healthcare installations. Again, with the same philosophy that adding bright focal pieces to a space benefits its occupants, her artwork can positively influence many people over time in these applications.

You can visit her as a new exhibitor at SURTEX in booth #2410. She would be happy to share her patterns available for licensing and talk with you about all things vegetable, color, pattern, design or interior-related! She also has a penchant for animals and rescue. She will talk dogs for days, but only if you want to.
