Whaleback Paddleboards will debut their 2017 line this January at Surf Expo! This innovative, US-made brand of SUPs has been building boards in South Florida for a little over a year after moving the company down from the Midwest in 2015.
"After a year in Florida, we've made a lot of exciting changes to our boards, making them more versatile for all conditions and also more price competitive with the overseas market. We've added a 10'6 that is ideal for rental fleets and retails for under $1,000!" says Co-Founder and President, Marco Caporaso.
Caporaso is excited to debut four new products at Expo this January, but he is most excited about a board he calls the 12'6 Tortuga Family Fun & Fish.
"The Tortuga is designed to be a hybrid between a solo fishing SUP and a board that you can take your whole family out on. The board is 12'6 x 34" x 10.5" and only 47 lbs. And with twin pontoons, it's almost impossible to tip."
The 12'6 Tortuga Fun & Fish has 28 customizable inserts and is compatible with YakAttack attachments. Along with the Tortuga, Whaleback will debut an 11' Kodiak Expedition touring board and a 12'6 Kaanapali Performance Touring SUP. All designed and manufactured in South Florida!
