After College, the chileans José Campino and Pier Colonnello took off on a adventure to the Mentawai Islands in Indonesia. They Arrived with the hopes of discovering the unvelievable waves and heavenly scenery. However, after living in the jungle and immersing themselves in the lives of local tribe, they ended up discovering a lot more than just that. On top of witnessing the virtues of the Mentawai, they lived through their own flesh the sufferings the local have to deal with on a daily basis, living in one of the most seismic areas in the world and having one of the highest mortality rates in the world.
The documentary was featured in the Chicago, Los Angeles, Maine and Santiago Film Festivals in 2015. During the promotion and release of the movie, donations were taken for the Surf Aid Foundation, whose main focus is to improve the quality of life and provide assistance to remote islands and areas such as the Mentawai.
