NY NOW Summer 2017

Hand Painted, Fair Trade Candles for Every Holiday – made in South Africa!

Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Halloween, and Valentine’s Day are some of the current holiday-specific designs that are hand painted on hand poured candles from South Africa. A new whimsical Christmas design will be introduced at the NY Now Gift Show, August 19-22. Another product launch includes the highly requested Shabbat Candles available in Judaica, Hamsa and White on White designs.

In addition to the Holiday collections, Kapula candles include a wide variety of designs and candle sizes that complement traditional, modern and cottage décor. In addition, they offer the unique opportunity for customized designs for specific events and color schemes.

Kapula Candles are handcrafted in a small rural village in South Africa. Kapula, a guaranteed member of the World Fair Trade Organization, employs artisans from nearby villages. Approximately 90% of the artisans are women, primarily single mothers, who would not have a form of employment if not for their artistic talents.

Thumbprint Artifacts, US Distributor of Kapula Candles, distributes distinctive home décor items to shops and boutiques across the U.S., while creating economic self-sufficiency for craftswomen in South Africa. In addition, the compelling stories of the artisans make these items excellent gifts. To learn more about the hands that create the products: www.thumbprintartifacts.com.
