Waterbury, VT August 2017 — A touch of global influence is added to this year’s holiday décor with select items from Full Moon Collection’s quality lacquerware and textiles. Now available to U.S. interior designers and retailers, the Collection’s handmade goods from local Myanmar artisans include items well-poised for this season’s festivities.

Longyi Wreaths crafted from fabric scraps bring a worldly vantage to the holidays, with palettes in reds, oranges, blues and greens. The wreaths are made by a group of disabled workers with support from a Myanmar non-profit.
Full Moon Collection imports decorative statement pieces as well as functional items equally suited for contemporary and traditional décor. Crafted from bamboo following centuries-old traditions, the lacquerware collection includes bowls, Soon-oke, trays, and cups richly decorated in reds, greens, yellows and blacks. Carolyn Walters Fox launched Full Moon Collection in 2016 showcasing Myanmar’s one-of-a-kind, handcrafted lacquerware, ethnic textiles, and handmade accessories. Ms. Fox first visited Burma (now Myanmar) in 1980 on a trip throughout Southeast Asia. This trip introduced her to its lacquerware artisans, with return visits solidifying her love for the craft.
