Takaoka city has a 400-year history of manufacturing copperware crafts, employing high-level techniques and commanding a substantial share of the Japanese market. Our original company, Oriichakusyokujyo, was established in 1950. Since then we have carried on our long established traditions and have been producing a wide variety of artistic crafts such as bronze statues and Buddhist alter accessories.
ORII MARBLE
In recent years, technical experts who are also certified as traditional artisans have been developing cutting-edge techniques of coloring. We apply our techniques to the production of crafts and wall materials as well as numerous other new applications.
We have developed the ability to color underlying copper base material measuring less than 1mm in thickness, and have successfully applied similar processes to brasses and extruded material. Such techniques expand the potential of metals.
