DISTRIBUTED ENERGY RESOURCES INTERCONNECTION CHALLENGES AND STANDARDS (Room Ballroom A)

Events such as climate change, the reduction of the cost of renewable resources and the desire to increase energy security, enable the integration of renewable and alternative resources. Hydropower, biomass, wind and solar photovoltaic (PV) have been successfully demonstrated over the years and provide reliable electricity service. In order to accommodate a higher percentage of renewable energy appropriate standards need to be developed. During this session interconnection barriers and status of industry standards will be addressed.
