Creativity, the creative arts, and the processes of being creative are all a part of counseling and have been used in counseling settings for decades to promote positive mental health. This session will introduce attendees to numerous ways that creativity, the creative arts, and the processes that go with them can be used effectively, ethically, and judiciously in helping. The focus will be on what creative theories and techniques can be applied appropriately in counseling as well as when, where, and how.
