The effects of the secondary cooling zone with different radius on the asymmetric flow are studied through mathematical modeling using a large eddy simulation model. After that, the various criteria for vortices formation are used to investigate the evolution of vortices. Based on this, the distribution of non-metallic inclusions in the secondary cooling zone is discussed accordingly. The accuracy of the modeling is verified finally by comparing the velocities to available values in the literature.
