This paper presents how the old mill of Acciairie Venete in Mura, Italy, was upgraded in several steps, reviewing the mill layout and replacing the obsolete electrical and automation equipment. As final step, a new safety system and the integration of automation and control pulpits bring higher performances and a better efficiency of manpower.
