This work studies the influence of the solid phase in slag in the hot metal dephosphorization process by computational thermodynamic software. Experiments were conducted with the addition of the synthetic slag of a CaO-SiO2-FeOx system in hot metal at a temperature of 1400°C. Interfacial equilibrium metal/slag, solid and liquid phases were evaluated by the computational thermodynamic software FactSage. The results show the influence of the solid phases and show a ranking of the best desfosforantes mixtures. The ones that did not show the formation of solid phases 3CaO·P2O5 or 2CaO·P2O5 in its final slag were the ones that got the best efficiency.
