The deep relationship between indoor air quality (IAQ) and human productivity is confirmed, with game changing implications for the economics of commercial real estate. Traditionally, building stakeholders have been reluctant to use human productivity as a metric since it is hard to measure. However, from landmark work by the Harvard School of Public Health, the jury is in: there is a spectacular relationship between indoor air quality and human cognition, which unleashes an entirely new set of economic considerations when investing in commercial property.
