Unleashing Human Productivity Through Better Indoor Air Quality (Room 202A)

The deep relationship between indoor air quality (IAQ) and human productivity is confirmed, with game changing implications for the economics of commercial real estate. Traditionally, building stakeholders have been reluctant to use human productivity as a metric since it is hard to measure. However, from landmark work by the Harvard School of Public Health, the jury is in: there is a spectacular relationship between indoor air quality and human cognition, which unleashes an entirely new set of economic considerations when investing in commercial property. With these new studies in hand, tenants will begin to look past aesthetics and closely analyze the IAQ/performance relationship and finding even small increases in productivity translates to massive economic gains. This session will take you through the science to the economics and into practice.
