Program Abstract: Vaccine preventable diseases significantly influence the health and success of college students. Despite the known impact, vaccination rates fall well short of recommendations. Vaccination is a complex behavioral process for the student and the healthcare provider. Research indicates health care provider recommendation is a key motivator for vaccination. Motivational Interviewing (MI) is used to address many health behaviors. This presentation will review a QI project on the use of MI to address vaccine hesitancy.
