Program Abstract: This presentation will provide original research results (quantitative/qualitative) that used the opioid epidemic as a framework to explore graduate healthcare student attitudes and beliefs about their roles, identified the need for self-reflection about how the opioid crisis affects them, and demonstrated the impact of healthcare professional stigma on treating patients addicted to opioids. The presentation will also address the collateral damage associated with the opioid epidemic from the lens of the student.
