Howard's talk will focus on three Indiana-born stars as fiery and independent as they were talented. All of them, unfortunately, died prematurely: Carole Lombard, James Dean, and Steve McQueen. Attendees will learn amazing facts. Here are some examples: Lucille Ball said she owed her success on I Love Lucy to some “advice” from Carole Lombard. James Dean's first movie was not East of Eden, but a Rock Hudson comedy in which Dean was a customer at a soda fountain! And Steve McQueen, believe it or not, starred in a screen adaptation of Ibsen's An Enemy of the People. Howard will share these stories and more.
