Tracks: TRACK A - Trends, Projects and Strategies

Biodiversity impact assessment has become key to the successful financing of power projects in Indonesia. When considering finance from multilateral financing institutions, the IFC or ADB standards often are required to be complied with. Getting the biodiversity component of the impact assessment approved can be time consuming, complicate and costing. This pathway can be onerous but can be successful if done correctly. ERM will outline its approach to biodiversity impact assessment, including outlining the approach to screening for Critical Habitats, understanding mitigation measures and the approach to implement successful biodiversity offsets.
