Identify Pareto loss outage and derating, performance improvement program, replacement with existing design, replacement with new design, implementation of Targeted Boiler Management, burner retuning, and reverse engineering are part of the maintenance strategies. Finally, it ends with open challenges in implementing condition based maintenance systems. Case study of implementing the program on the maintenance and operation of LPP will be discussed in this paper. The result shows us that the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) of LPP has been getting better during the last three years operation.
