The Internet of Things (IoT) is a technology phenomenon that is about to be unleashed on our world as we know it. IoT will be comprised of over a billion smart, interconnected sensors that will give us unexplored access to all facets of everything… factories, office buildings, homes, transportation, utilities, clothes, etc. These sensors will generate untold amounts of data that make the present Google databases pathetically small. The world of the IoT will change our worlds and our lives in unimaginable ways… it will offer great conveniences and control. The flipside of this coin… the IoT world will offer unlimited opportunities for cyber criminals. This presentation explores some of the opportunities and threats in the IoT world.
