The Service Support Environment (SSE) provides warfighters, military components, mission partners, and other federal agencies with a single point of entry for Service Desk support for the totality of DISA provided services (e.g. DoD Email, classified and unclassified network support, and mobility). SSE creates a single automated set of processes that eliminates the need for excessive numbers of service desk call technicians and enables a virtual environment. The virtual service desk can be operated from any location across the globe which allows for business decisions based on cost and effectiveness. By consolidating and moving to a standard set of tools and streamlining processes we will be able to reduce the number of employees required to answer calls from customers experiencing disruptions in their IT services. GSDMO will plan, operate, maintain, and optimize a global SSE that enables incident and problem response and fulfillment of customer/user requests in support of global IT service providers and operators.
