US ARMY CECOM with HQ at APG, MD hosts Signal Universities at many Active Component Divisions and unit levels. The universities are called by many names including Signal Universities and Sustainment Universities. The universities are the local commands' training capability on emerging technology, communication, IT applications, commercial certifications following DOD 8570.1 requirements and in general are the training provider on the ground at many locations for the specific commands. The universities have reach-back capacity to LandWarNet, ARCYBER 7th Cyber Protection Brigade and C4ISR expertise as well have provided MOS production assistance to the Signal Center in past history and are engaged with the Office Chief of Signal on the future MOS reduction plan.
