The wreck of Titanic is arguably the world's best-known shipwreck. It is also a historically well-documented vessel. Decades of dives to the wreck by a variety of scholars, including Dr. James Delgado, filmmakers, and salvagers have made the wreck a modern media star. What else does Titanic represent? Based on data from surveys in 2003-04 and 2010, Dr. Delgado speaks to what modern society has learned and can still learn from the wreck of Titanic.
