Online retailers can’t be lackadaisical about the risk data breaches that expose shoppers’ personal information can pose to their business. Consumer data bought and sold by criminals on the dark web can be used to infiltrate e-retailers’ businesses in many ways, such as account takeovers that use stolen usernames and passwords to get into stored accounts, payment fraud and stolen credit cards to be used for fraudulent purchases. This session will bring e-retailers up to date on the threats and the new protocols and services that can be applied to deal with them. It will also address the newest ways to combat more perennial fraud issues, such as friendly fraud and package redirects.
