As the environmental movement continues to thrive, it is no longer good enough to do less harm or use less resources from the environment. Now is the time for designers to work towards creating a net positive future. Companies on the cutting-edge of the environmental movement are no longer just measuring their carbon footprint, but are actively engaged with clients and partners in measuring their "Handprint". "Handprint" measures not what has been damaged, but what has been given back to communities, employees and the environment as a whole. Companies need to restore, regenerate, replace and repair. Doing "less bad" is no longer good enough. We need to evolve from "Environmental Responsibility" to "Social Responsibility". Please join me in a compelling discussion around sustainable operations, healthy material selection, wildlife preservation and our commitment to having a net positive effect on our global community.
