This course provides training in basic life support and first aid concepts. Participants will receive a completion card for first aid and Basic Life Support training at the end of the course. Basic Life Support is that segment of Emergency Cardiac Care that either: Prevents Cardiac or respiratory arrest or circulatory/respiratory insufficiency through prompt recognition, intervention, and entry into the Emergency Medical Services System or Externally supports the circulation and respiration of a victim of cardiac or respiratory arrest through Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
