The League of Railway Women (LRW) will conclude their 2018 annual conference with a tour CSX's Radnor Yard located about 10 miles from downtown Nashville. The group will depart via bus from Music City Center at 12:30pm. Attendees will be required to wear closed-toe shoes, pants, and sign a waiver.
Tour Summary
12:30pm Depart Music City Center via bus to CSX Radnor Yard
1:00pm Arrive at CSX Radnor Yard and meet at Division Office
- Speakers/ Topics: Jane Covington will give an overview. Other speakers will talk about risk management and hazmat.
- CSX will provide snacks / drinks.
1:45pm Depart Dispatch Center for Bus Tour of Rail & Hump Yard
2:30pm Depart CSX Radnor Yard to Music City Center
3:00pm Arrive at Music City Center
How to attend: Registered LRW Conference attendees are invited to attend the tour at no additional cost. If you would like to attend and are not an LRW Conference attendee, please contact Mary Schroll, LRW Events Committee at mrschrol@up.com. There will be a $30 fee for non LRW Conference attendees to help cover transportation costs.
All LRW tour attendees must be a registered attendee at the RSI/CMA 2018 Rail Expo & Technical Conference. There is a max of 40 people to attend the tour, preference will be given to LRW 2018 Annual Conference attendees.
About Radnor Yard: Radnor Yard, formerly Sidco Yard, served as a WWII staging area for goods and supplies shipped overseas. Today, Radnor’s hump terminal, auto facility and intermodal yard handle various commodities from the US, Canada, Mexico, and overseas. The yard is situated on 517 acres and is one of of CSX’s top ten largest terminals.
