Human factors and design are burgeoning topics in the transportation industry. Railroads are in constant pursuit of solutions to enhance worker safety and performance. By incorporating human factors and design principles when selecting tools, equipment, and/or work spaces, railroads are better able to minimize worker exposures and optimize worker performance.
