Integrated eCommerce - Roadmap (Room 703)

11:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Tracks: Brand Building Clinic

All retailers know that the pressure to be online with products, prices and availability is more important than ever. Amazon, Home Depot, Walmart and other large retailers are setting the standard by which consumer expectations are now being set. Challenging on it’s own, there are a number of factors for hardware stores and home centers that make eCommerce especially difficult. Even the most sophisticated independent dealers are struggling with eCommerce because of the inherent complexity.

In the works for the past 2 years, Orgill is now rolling out a complete eCommerce solution for dealers that meets all the requirements of modern, omnichannel retail:

  • Full POS Integration:
    • Prices
    • Availability
    • Orders
  • All desired products on the site -- not limited to Orgill Products (including wood products)
  • A shared pool of product data -- reducing costs for everyone.
  • A range of taxonomies to choose from.
  • Powerful on-site search.
  • Easy-to-use CMS.
  • Consumer- and Pro-focused site options.
  • Multiple pick-up/shipping options for customers:
    • Pickup In Store
    • Ship to Store
    • Ship to Me
  • Strategic & Technical Support

During this session, Greg Stine, the project leader, and Aung Latt of Unilog (Orgill’s technology partner) will walk Orgill dealers through the program, platform and how to decide if they are a good fit.
