For the majority of wind energy stakeholders, the next couple of years are expected to be very busy and most teams will be overloaded. A common conversation between organizations is how to scale for 2019 and 2020 while knowing the years following could be lean. This leaves us with finding solutions to perform twice the amount of work with the same amount of people. All while increasing accuracy and reducing uncertainty in energy assessments. To accomplish this we must improve efficiency, reproducibility, traceability, and how we distribute results. Fortunately, there are technologies available from other industries to all of us to help us do that. These tools are mostly based on open-source developers’ efforts over the past five to ten years but are now hosted for free by companies like Google. This presentation will live-demonstrate three to five freely-available solutions that address the improvements organizations will be required to adopt to stay competitive in 2019 and 2020.
