Valuing Portfolio Effects

So, portfolio effects due to geographic & technology diversity exist. Some people are starting to calculate them. But not many people understand how to value these effects. This presentation will explain portfolio effects using a sample portfolio of projects. We will show impact to portfolio uncertainties by adding different types of projects and describe how these effects might carry through to a typical project finance. In addition, we will education on certain concepts that are common in finance and investment circles that are good to know when trying to promote this type of analysis. In particular, the concept of Value At Risk, a common investment term that would be good for portfolio effect analysts to understand.
