Prof. André Faaij is Distinguished Professor Energy System Analysis and appointed as Academic Director of the Energy Academy Europe at the University of Groningen – Netherlands, where he works with many stakeholders on transitions in the energy system. His research covers amongst others bio-based economy, carbon capture and storage, intermittent energy sources and energy system studies and modeling. He qualifies as ‘highly cited scientist’ (top 1% of research field) by criteria of Thomson Reuters ISI Web of Science.
