Deborah is Legal Counsel at PBGC OIG, with more than 33 years’ Federal experience. Deborah served as Deputy Inspector General and Legal Counsel from 1993 to 2013, overseeing audits and investigations, managing OIG operations, and providing legal advice. From 2013-2015, Deborah was Acting Inspector General, leading the issuance of a record 20 reports. Before joining OIG, Deborah held several other Federal legal positions. A Summa Cum Laude graduate from Carson-Newman College with a B.A. in English, Education and Religion, Deborah also received her J.D. degree With Honors from the University of Maryland. Deborah is a member of the D.C. bar.
