Anne Swanson is President of the DC Capitol Chapter of AUVSI, and she serves on the chapter's Executive Committee. She is a partner in the Washington, DC office of the international law firm Cooley LLP. In her practice, she assists companies and individuals in the unmanned and geolocation industries in solving their regulatory problems at the FAA, FCC, and other government agencies. During her 35-plus year career, she has worked on a wide variety of federal and state rulemakings, enforcement matters, mergers, and financial transactions involving GNSS/GPS, device manufacturers, media firms, and investors. Anne’s practice also focuses on complex spectrum issues raised by new technologies, such as "smart transportation" systems. A DC native, she draws on her work experience in all three branches of government to achieve regulatory "wins" for her clients. She is a graduate of Yale Law School (JD), Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs (MPA), Georgetown University (LLM), and WVU (BSJ). Prior to attending law school and graduate school, she worked at the National Security Council and wrote the President’s Daily News Summary in The White House Press Office.
