Ms. Kimberly Long serves as a FERC License Compliance Manager with Exelon Generation Company, LLC located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. In this role, she is responsible for the oversight and implementation of license commitments for Exelon’s hydroelectric facilities which includes natural resource management, shoreline and recreation management, fish passage, flow management and other environmental and operational objectives. With Exelon, Ms. Long also served as a water subject matter expert responsible for environmental permitting and compliance support for NPDES, obstruction and encroachment, wetland, stormwater drinking water programs and provided direction regarding environmental aspects of FERC hydro relicensing. Before joining Exelon, Ms. Long was employed with FirstEnergy Corporation as an Associate Scientist responsible for drinking water compliance, FERC relicensing support and obstruction and encroachment compliance at generation facilities, transmission and distribution projects. Prior to joining FirstEnergy, Ms. Long worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection as a Watershed Manager for two years and as a Water Pollution Biologist for four years. At the Department, Ms. Long was responsible for conducting stream assessments including fish and macroinvertebrate biotic integrity evaluations and compliance surveys. Ms. Long also serves as the co-chair of the West Pottsgrove Township Planning Commission and is a member of the township’s Open Space Planning Committee. Ms. Long is also a board member of the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary and the Hydro Research Foundation. Ms. Long received a B.S. degree in Biology from Millersville University and an M.S. degree in Biology from Bucknell University.
