Erwin Acuna is senior director of pharmacy operations at HMS. He has more than 30 years of healthcare experience that include managing a $7 million service. Before joining HMS in 2010, he was a pharmacy benefit manager at PrudentRx; a licensed pharmacy technician at the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, Calif., and a pharmacy technician at Kaiser Permanente. He earned a B.S. in business administration from California State Polytechnic Institute. His articles about prescription drug fraud have appeared in Fraud Magazine. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner.
