He resides in Malaysia without a car and has an enviable electricity bill of under RM40 (USD 10) a month. In 2008, Matthias was voted ‘Greenest Person on the Planet’ in an online competition by 3rd Whale in Canada. That same year, he also started Eco Warriors Malaysia, a community movement focused on taking positive action to combat climate change. Professional speaker and trainer An energetic and passionate speaker on environmental issues, Matthias’ mission is to inspire people to make a positive and permanent change towards living and working sustainably. More recent Matthias is authoring his revised edition of his book The GreenMan’s Guide to Green Living and Working; while conducting masterclass workshops on “Green Living and Energy Efficiency”. Founder of the GreenMan Eco Mobile Tiny Home project, Matthias completed the built of his first off grid and ecological sustainable living prototype unit, the size of a carpark lot in Kuala Lumpur. It is currently located at Kraf Malaysia Jalan Conlay for private viewing and will be relocated to CREAM CIDB for further refinement before production and roadshow to showcase sustainable living in Malaysia.
