Gavin Smith is Regional Vice President for the Australia, NZ & Southern Asia operations of Royal Caribbean Cruises Limited (RCL). Appointed in 2008, Smith leads a team of around 200 employees and oversees all commercial and operational activities in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore for the company’s three cruise brands: Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises. In 2016, South East Asia and the Pacific are seasonal homes to 8 of the company’s cruise ships from each of the three main brands. Smith has over 25 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry and in December 2010, Smith was elected Chairman of CLIA Australasia.
