Christian D. Chan, MA, NCC is a third-year doctoral student in Counseling with The George Washington University. He received his MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The George Washington University and a BA from The University of Notre Dame. He serves as a doctoral supervisor at GWU to Master's-level students and a doctoral intern at MSA Child and Adolescent Center, an intensive outpatient program.  His interests revolve around intersectionality of cultural and social identity; multiculturalism in counseling, supervision, and counselor education; social justice; career development; critical research methods; acculturative stress; intergenerational conflict; and cultural factors in identity development and socialization. He currently serves as the Association for Adult Development and Aging (AADA) Secretary, Maryland Counseling Association President-Elect, Virginia Counselors Association Graduate Student Chair, Virginia Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Issues in Counseling (VA-ALGBTIC) Treasurer, Virginia Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development (VAMCD) Treasurer, and a Chi Sigma Iota International Leadership Fellow. His primary career goal is to serve as a counselor education faculty member to impact and integrate research, education, counseling, and leadership as contributions for the counseling profession.
