Michelle R. McDaniel has served in a variety of healthcare leadership roles for over 20 years. Her experience in physician practice and revenue cycle operations, financial and project management, and transition/change management have been critical in her successful leadership of corporate strategic projects and critical workflow redesigns.
Michelle has held progressive healthcare leadership roles with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield (Pittsburgh PA), Aurora Health Care (Milwaukee WI), Memorial Hermann Health System (Houston TX), and UCLA Health (Los Angeles, CA). Her experience in leading physician documentation and coding improvement initiatives, financial/revenue cycle infrastructure development projects, and EHR optimization efforts have contributed significantly to the financial health of those organizations as the American healthcare industry continues to evolve and to adapt to challenging political and fiscal circumstances.
Michelle recently played a key role in the development of the Memorial Hermann Accountable Care Organization (MHACO) operational model, an MSSP top-performer, collaborating to build a strong financial support and reporting infrastructure for the management and oversight of its quality performance programs. Michelle currently serves as the Director for clinical research revenue cycle operations with UCLA Health, leading hospital and professional billing activities, fully leveraging and optimizing technical resources, and ensuring full regulatory compliance in a major academic medical center environment.
