Gertjan Van Sprakelaar

Gertjan "Sparky" Van Sprakelaar holds a MSEE from the Delft University of Technology. He started his MEMS design career in 1992 at Foxboro/ICT followed by NovaSensor. From 2000 till 2016 he was Analog/Mixed signal design engineer at National Semiconductor and Texas Instruments, developing numerous analog/mixed signal front ends for sensor and instrumentation applications, resulting in five patents. He successfully co-wrote a DOE grant application for Advanced Energy-Efficient Building Technologies. While at National and TI he has led technical seminars on sensors and sensor interface circuit design and tradeoffs. He is currently at Silicon Microstructures where he holds the position of Design Engineering Manager, responsible for both MEMS sensor and package design.
