Sander van Stiphout is the director of Amsterdam ArenA International, the consultancy and management branch of the Amsterdam ArenA, since 2006. He has worked in stadium projects worldwide and was involved in projects related to all recent major tournaments. His successful business development in Brazil resulted in management positions held by the company in the stadiums of Salvador, Natal and Porto Alegre. Sander was special stadium operations consultant to the Qatar Supreme Committee in relation to the FIFA World Cup 2022 preparations. Since January 2016 Sander is also responsible for the program management of Amsterdam Innovation Arena which focuses on enhancement of fan experience, increasing revenues and decreasing operating costs together with ecosystem partners such as City of Amsterdam, Amsterdam Smart City, TNO, KPN, KPMG, Huawei, Microsoft, Philips Lighting, Nissan, Eaton, BAM, Honeywell, Heineken and Ballast Nedam. Sander likes to think of stadiums as living rooms of a society and what drives him is to contribute to a well-managed, safe stadium with a great fan experience that makes profit and creates value to the community.
