Steve joined Mississippi State University in July of 2001 as an Athletic Trainer, working primarily with football and post op rehabs. He transitioned into Compliance in 2007 where he is currently the Associate AD for Compliance. Steve has served on the NAAC Education Committee since February 2012 and started on the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Waivers Core Course sub-committee in January of 2019. He attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in 1993 as a football student-athlete and earned his associate degree. He went to the University of Cincinnati as a football student-athlete where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Health Education and Promotion in 1998. He then went to the University of Alabama-Birmingham in 1998 and earned his master’s degree in Exercise Science.
