Katie Paradise was hired at RPI in September 2016. Currently the Athletic Compliance Specialist, she is primarily responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of all policies and procedures relative to the University's compliance initiatives. RPI is a multi-divisional institution sponsoring 21 NCAA DIII programs as well as men's and women's ice hockey at the NCAA DI level. Paradise previously worked as the Director of Athletics and Recreation at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) from 2013-2016. In this role she provided leadership and supervision to the athletics department while overseeing the planning and implementation of strategies that provided academic, athletic and personal development of each student-athlete. She also served on the USCAA Board of Directors and Vice President of the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC). Prior to joining ACPHS, Paradise served as the Associate Athletic Director and Senior Women's Administrator at Daemen College (DII) from 2011-2013. In that role she was directly involved in overseeing the academic progress of Daemen's student-athletes while also operating as the college's chief compliance officer. During her tenure, Paradise was a key contributor to the successful transition of Daemen College from an NAIA institution to a NCAA DII provisional member. Paradise also served in several different capacities at the State University of New York at Albany from 2006-2011. While at UAlbany, Paradise moved up the ranks serving as Marketing Assistant, Assistant Director of Compliance and Student Services, Director of Compliance and lastly Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance. Paradise holds a Master's Degree in Sport Administration from Canisius College as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport Management from Wingate University.
