Entered Babcock-Hitachi(predecessor of current company) in 1981. Assigned to Chemical Department of Kure Research laboratory and involved in development of coal-water mixture system. Obtained PhD from Tohoku University in 1988 and worked as post-doc in University of Wisconsin from 1988 to 1989. In1990, started development of wet FGD system and in 2003 became general manager of environmental department of Kure Research laboratory, who is in charge of development of SCR catalyst, DESP and FGD system.
