After completing his studies at the Dept of Geological Engineering Bandung Institute of Technology in 1986, Adhi Wibowo joined the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) Office of R&D Center in Bandung. After earned his Doctorate degree, he promoted as Deputy Head of Planning Bureau at the MEMR HQ, Jakarta. His subsequent assignments were the Director of Geological Surveys, Director of Coal Business Development, and Director of Research in Electricity and Renewable Energy. Later to strengthen energy security and defense coordination, he was assigned to the National Defense Council. But he returned back to MEMR promoted as Deputy Secretary General in National Energy Council until now.
