Mary Thompson is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bonduelle Fresh Americas, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bonduelle and home of the Ready Pac Foods and Bonduelle brands. The business unit focuses on fresh vegetables, salads and fresh meal solutions for the Americas. She joined Bonduelle Fresh Americas in October 2018 and leads the day-to-day management and strategic vision of the newest of the five Bonduelle Group business units. Mary brings more than 25 years of experience to the role having led various business segments at Cargill, a global business-to-business company with more than 150,000 employees and food, agriculture, financial and industrial customers in more than 125 countries. Most recently, she was president and managing director of Cargill Meats Europe, a $1 billion business with 3,000 employees in the United Kingdom, France and Russia serving European retail, foodservice and food manufacturers with fresh and frozen chicken products. There, she led a business strategy involving new business planning tools, organizational restructuring and plant modernization efforts which doubled the size of the business. She has a history of inspiring and aligning teams around high performance and customer success – leading her teams to win awards for industry-leading results and environmental sustainability. Thompson has been involved in various community and industry organizations including the Business Board in Hereford, England, Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest, and the Women’s Leadership Council of the Greater Twin Cities United Way. She served as Executive Sponsor of the Wichita Care Council, Executive Sponsor of the Wichita Pride Network and Campaign Chair for the Cargill Meat Solutions United Way Campaign. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and social relations from Harvard University and an MBA with emphasis in finance and strategy from Columbia University.
