Dr. Laura Edsberg is Professor of Natural Sciences and Director of the Center for Wound Healing Research at Daemen College in Amherst, New York, as well as a department. Dr. Edsberg is a past- President of the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel and currently serves as treasurer. She has written numerous articles and chapters about the microstructural and mechanical properties of pressure ulcer tissue. Dr. Edsberg’s research is focused on the proteome of healing and non-healing wounds. Currently her research group is working to identify biomarkers associated with healing in wounds.
