John Brahms, PhD

John Brahms earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Drexel University and a Ph.D. in physical-organic chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania. Previously, Brahms worked for 14 years at Colgate-Palmolive Company in several positions of increasing responsibility. Later, he served as a senior manager for Avon's new technology group supporting innovation in color cosmetics. Prior to joining IFF, Brahms served as the vice president of R&D at Coughlan Products Corp, a customer manufacturer of fine fragrance ancillaries. He has published over 30 patents and peer-reviewed publications. His research interests include technologies for improved fragrance delivery and performance.
